Services Provided
Fry's Excavating & Grading provides the following services in Godfrey, IL and surrounding areas:
- Excavating and grading for residential and commercial properties
- Demolition of structures, buildings, and concrete/asphalt removal
- Hauling of materials, debris, dirt, rock, and gravel
- Land clearing including tree removal, brush clearing, and site preparation
All services are subject to availability, site conditions, weather, and other factors that may affect scheduling and completion.
Estimates and Quotes
We provide free estimates for our services. Estimates are based on the information provided by the customer and our initial assessment of the project. Final costs may vary if:
- Site conditions differ from what was initially described or observed
- Additional work is requested or becomes necessary during the project
- Unforeseen obstacles, underground utilities, or hazards are discovered
- Project scope changes at the customer's request
Any changes to the scope of work or pricing will be communicated to the customer before proceeding with additional work.
Scheduling and Delays
We make every effort to complete work on schedule. However, project timelines may be affected by weather, equipment availability, site access, permit delays, or other circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for delays caused by such factors.
Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
- Ensuring clear access to the work site for equipment and vehicles
- Marking or identifying underground utilities (we recommend calling 811 before excavation work)
- Obtaining any necessary permits or approvals from local authorities
- Removing vehicles, obstacles, and personal property from the work area
- Informing us of any known hazards, utilities, or site conditions that could affect the work
- Ensuring pets are secured and away from the work area
Payment Terms
Payment terms will be agreed upon before work begins. Payment may be required in full upon completion, or a deposit may be requested for larger projects. Accepted payment methods include cash, check, or other arrangements as discussed.
Invoices are due upon completion unless other terms have been agreed upon in writing. Late payments may be subject to additional fees or interest charges.
Liability and Insurance
Fry's Excavating & Grading is fully insured. We take reasonable care to protect your property and complete work safely and professionally. However, we are not liable for:
- Damage to unmarked or improperly marked underground utilities
- Pre-existing damage or defects not caused by our work
- Damage resulting from inaccurate information provided by the customer
- Natural settling or shifting of soil after grading or excavation
Customers are encouraged to review and understand the scope of work and potential risks before services begin.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a scheduled service, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may result in a cancellation fee, especially if equipment and crew have already been mobilized.
Warranty and Guarantees
We stand behind the quality of our work and strive for customer satisfaction. However, excavation and grading work involves natural materials (soil, rock, etc.) that may settle or shift over time due to weather, drainage, and other environmental factors beyond our control. We do not warranty against natural settling or environmental changes.
Safety
Safety is our top priority. We operate all equipment in accordance with industry standards and regulations. For your safety, please stay clear of active work areas and follow any instructions provided by our crew.
Dispute Resolution
If any issues or disputes arise regarding our services, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can work together to reach a fair resolution. We are committed to addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fry's Excavating & Grading's total liability for any claims arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific service in question.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Madison County, Illinois.
